What is your recommendation for Loire valley and Normandy?

Best sites to see in Loire Valley and Normandy for 3-4 days trip. Any good ideas are appreciated.

Loire Valley - Castles (Chateaux) and vineyards!
Normandy - Highlights include the great abbey churches of Caen, the mighty island of Mont-St-Michel and Monet's garden at Giverny.

Castles of the Loire valley are impressive.

In Normandy: Mont St Michel , St Malo, Dinan. These are all along the North coast and close together.
