Who owns Niagra Falls? |
does Canada own Niagra Falls or does USA own Niagra Falls There are actually 3 falls that make up the Niagara Falls, the American Falls, which is the highest, the Bridal Veil Falls, and the Horseshoe Falls. Of these only the horseshoe falls are within the border of Canada. So to answer your question, both countries own the falls, just different parts of it, and different views. canada both - just a guess Mother Earth! they each own a half hey good question i don't know Both they both do Canada I think. i think canada USA owns what it wants to own.. it rules the world... I guess it could buy the niagara falls if it wanted! haha half is in canada, half in us. ..I'm not sure, but i think canada has more jurisdiction over all. No one "owns" it, but the property line of each country meets in the middle of it. it's Canada I mean really it's like come on what the hell.of course Canada oh Canada I mean really. Oh crown they hood with brother hood with sea to shining sea Both...there are actually two sets of falls. Horseshoe falls is the "popular" one...the one people who try to go over the falls go over. That is owned by Canada. But there is another set (Bridal Veil Falls) just down the way. If you have ever seen it, it is covered in rocks at the bottom (so you would get killed going over them). That is owned by the US. waterfall from Lake Erie to Lake Ontario, from a town name, perhaps from an Iroquoian language and meaning "a neck" (between two bodies of water); general sense of "a cataract, torrent" is attested from 1841; meaning " 'shower' of ringlets (true or false) in women's hair" is from 1864, also known as cataract curls. It's on both sides of the border. The US part is a New York State Park. The U.S & Canada i think both but what does it matter go see it!!! Canada and the US share Niagara Falls. Canada owns the Horseshoe Falls, the ones that are largest and most impressive, the ones most tourists come to see. The US owns the smaller falls - I'm not sure of their name - the Bridal Falls I think. Canada owns the horseshoe falls, the states owns the small one. "The International Joint Commission prevents and resolves disputes between the United States of America and Canada under the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty and pursues the common good of both countries as an independent and objective advisor to the two governments. |
