New York City to Niagara Falls? |
I am planning a trip to New York City and would like to make a visit to Niagara Falls. I would like to stay one or two nights on the Canadian side of the falls. What's a convenient way to travel? The best way to travel would be either on a Greyhound bus or Amtrak to Niagara Falls, Ontario. If you're not American, you will need a passport to cross the border. The trains are quite good, and I suspect you will find that they go pretty close to Niagara Falls, NY (the city) on the US side. I expect buses go there as well. (Greyhound used to be the biggest operator when I last used the buses in the US) Well the distance is around 400-450 miles and you can get there by bus, train or fly, for a short stay in Canada it is easy to do, but with the regulation for crossing the border if your coming from Europe or another country you will need 2 pieces of picture ID, a passport or a driver licence or government based id with picture, and with our dollar slightly more now it depends on your time of travel. If you choose to fly go from New York to Buffalo and take Niagara Airbus to hotel in Canada. Flights to and from Buffalo cheaper and more frequent than to Niagara Falls Airport. Buffalo is only 30 Minutes from Falls. |
