Where abouts in canada is recommended for getting the most out of the holiday on a budget ? Thanks Josh?

Hello ,
I wanted to go to canada sometime in the new year and i was wondering where the best place to go is , if you want to see the scenery and possibley niagra falls . My only worry is i havent got a big budget and i have a feeling that if you stay anywhere near the falls it going to be very expensive . It would be greatly appreciated if some-one could please give me some infomation on this issue .

Also if any one could please give me infomation on other nice sites in candada or mabye just a few links to give me some idea on other tourist attractions , I would be very thankfull .

I plan to go in the summer time
and its a family of three 2 adults annd 1 child .

With Regards
Josh

People in Ontario on a budget generally go to 1. Niagara Falls, 2. Toronto, 3. Montreal

Niagara Falls is a great place to visit - as is Toronto but Canada is a massive country and very diverse with something different to offer in each province.

I live near Toronto and find Collingwood a nice place to visit year round (http://www.collingwood.ca/). It's quite a trek though if you're driving.

I've been to British Columbia and it's absolutely beautiful there though you don't often see the sun. Vancouver and Victoria are great cities.

The place I want to see most is Churchill, Manitoba (www.townofchurchill.ca). It's the best place to see Polar bears and Beluga whales in the wild as well as seeing the Northern Lights. It's VERY expensive though so that will have to wait a few years.

Edmonton (in Alberta) has the largest mall in Canada if you're into that kind of stuff (West Edmonton Mall). The second largest is Vaughn Mills in Vaughn (Greater Toronto Area). I'd also love to visit Newfoundland but again, quite expensive.

Montreal, Quebec is a very popular destination for Canadians and I've heard it's quite affordable. I haven't been there yet as after years of learning French I still know zilch! I've been told that it's not entirely necessary as there are still English speaking people but I'm still afraid of looking like an idiot Canadian who can't speak French.

I'm also hoping to take a road trip of the Eastern provinces (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia & PEI) and stay in B&B's. My brother has done that and he says his favourite is New Brunswick http://www.tourismnewbrunswick.ca/
But it's defintely worth taking a look at Nova Scotia (www.novascotia.com) and PEI (www.peiplay.com)

Sign up with www.travelzoo.ca and you'll get 20 great deals emailed to you every Wednesday (or you can see them on their website). They give offers from all over the place but almost every week they have 1-3 Niagara Falls deals and often have Toronto deals as well.

If you want to visit Toronto, here are some great sites:

www.tourismtoronto.com
www.discovertoronto.ca

noting happens in canada come to australia

,we went to the Falls and i don't recall the motel being that expensive, but we didn't stay at the Marriott either. this is wine country , cherry country fishing country, Toronto is a few hours away and u can see the CN tower , which is the highest free standing structure in the world and have a decent lunch with a phenomenal view. and lots of other things to do too.
google niagara falls motels and toronto tourism and u'll find all kinds of things to see and do. Have wonderful time and HNY to u and urs

while here go the the town called Niagara on the Lake.....
