Things to do in Niagara Falls besides loooking at the falls? |
I'm planning to go up there during christmas holiday and i was wondering if anyone has any personal tips?....Best shopping? other attractions? good restaruants? Any good "chinese" restaruants serving dimsum? this on the Canadian side just so you all know...but you can also list some for the U.S. side.... I dont know if the hill is open in the winter but theres the rain forest cafe the hard rock cafe there the hersy store if your a chocolate lover ripleys believe or not and all these places are on clifton hill you definatley should look and see if its open this time of year i think it is. theres also a resturant that takes you up in this elevator that is outside and it gives you a great view of the falls casino niagra is good for night life theres tons of clubs! if you do go to clifton hill definatley bring a camera your gonna wanna take tons of pics if your gonna have a car take like i five minute drive down to niagra on the lake there like a little village with lots of cute boutiques and stuff if your looking for somewhere to go swimming (inside) there the wolf lodge it has tonsss of water slides ext. best thing to do is go to tourisum niagra search just canada and it will have a bunch of attractions and resturants and your in luck too the niagra lights will be on so definatley go to the falls at night time but bundle up its quiet cool by the falls at night and for shopping there is the outlets it by the hwy 401 i belive and it has like rebox addidas well basically a whole bunch of out lets which means brand names for cheap :) well thats what i can think of right now but trust me you wont run out of things to do and there are sooooo many resturants there so you just have to look oakes hotel i cant say ive heard of it so i cant rate it for you but most hotels in niagra falls are really good so long as they are hotels not motels lol have fun :) and CANADA ROCKS if you dont already live here your gonna wanna move here haha omg!!!! you have to see the Falls they are awesome!!!!!!! there are some major casions there and you can walk across to New York if I remember correctly. As of yet you still do not need a passport to go from canada to US, although it is coming, it is not here yet. I would walk around in and out of some shops too... lots of suvenior places yeah Gamble. Go Gamble The casinos and clubs are fun. Good bars are the Happy Mushroom and Jacks. Clubs Mardigras and Daily Planet. If your to young for these types of things the haunted houses are cool, also Ripleys museum is cool to. These are all on the Canadian side, make sure you hit up the duty free shop while crossing the boarder for cheap booze and cigarettes. Clifton Hill...Oakes Hotel isnt that bad...4/5? I lived there for 5 years, and it was a pit of hell. It is a nice hotel closest to the Horseshoe Falls. It is located in the heart of the Niagara Falls tourist area, and is right next door to the brand new Fallsview Casino and Resort. Not much really. In the winter most of the services (buses, tours, attractions) shut down because it's too freakin cold, but they'll still charge a fortune to park your car. There's not much shopping other than gift shops right on the hill. In fact, most Canadians go to Buffalo to shop at the Galleria Mall. There's a lot of taxes and surcharges on everything in the Canadian falls area, so don't be surprised when there's and extra $10-$15 added to your check. You could go on the Maid Of The Mist Boat |
