Which areas of St Catharines is closest to Niagara Falls? Moving to St Catharines and want to narrow my search

I want to be close enough to the border as my family is still in the states, so I will be traveling back fairly often.

I live in St. Catharines and the whole city isn't that large. I can drive from one end to the other in about 15 minutes.

The closet parts to the Falls are the South End. If you are a student that is where most of Brock and Niagara College students live. There is also Merrition which is in the south end and Western Hill. Those parts are closest to the Falls.

Thorold is the border between St. Catharines and the Falls and takes about 5 minutes to drive through. Not a big city at all.

To drive from downtown St. Catharines to the Falls would take about 15 - 20 minutes on the highway.

To drive from downtown Thorold to the Falls I'd say 10 - 15 minutes.

And from Thorold to St. Catharines 5 minutes at the most.

Merritton is the ward closest to Niagara Falls - it is in the southeastern part of the city. Of course, it is probably not hard to get there from anywhere in the city.
