Are US cops allowed to carry guns into Canada?

My boyfriend and I are taking a weekend trip to Niagara Falls. He happens to be a cop, and is worried about border security giving us a hard time.

Being a US cop means nothing in Canada !!!!
Why does he need a gun ?

Recently, a US police officer entered Canada.... Montreal, I think, and had his gun confiscated and was consequently charged. So, no, your bf is not allowed to bring it into Canada.

we're a different country with different laws.Being a police officer in the USA does not give him any more fringe benefits than a canadian police officer going over to the states thinking he has any authority over there either
