I just visited Niagara Falls, and was surprised that I didn't see any policemen. Were they plainclothes?

They usually don't hang out in the tourist areas, not too many problems there. The park and Falls area is patrolled by the Niagara Parks Police, not a private force, but different from the Niagara Regional Police and OPP (Ontario Provincial Police). There are plainclothes patrols around the Casino, and Casino Security as well.

there there just not in plain site usually hiding around the corner i have seen them waling around Clifton hill at night time. a friend of mine told me that all that land is privately owned so the cops really cant patrol that area unless they get called in don't know if that's true that's just what i heard

Oh they are there, you just don't see them as much.
