Niagra Falls what can i do there? |
I plan on going there on saturday. what are something inexpensive things i can do? Also a cheap hotel? oh yeah do i need a passport or just a birth certificate. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks. There is a Courtyard Marriott on the Canadian side that isn't terribly expensive. It's within walking distance of the Falls and lot's of sights. The Skylon tower is pretty cool. It gives a great aerial view of everything. It has some little shops in the lobby area and has a revolving dining room at the top. Right next to that is an IMAX theater that shows a movie with a great history of the falls (sounds corny, but is pretty cool). The Clifton Hill area is pretty neat - lots of wax museums, arcades/bars, that type of stuff. On the corner of Clifton Hill & (I believe) Victoria Avenue, there is a Ripley's Believe It Or Not 3D show - it is so cool. At the bottom of the hill and to the left, there is a Hard Rock Cafe, a casino and some pretty cool little shops. We go every year and stay at the Sheridan On The Falls. It's a little more expensive, but the view of the Falls is second to none! Have a great trip!! Go for a nice swim ;) in the US you will need a Visa to travel...so if your leaving..be sure you get a passport. Go on the maid of the Mist You can marvel at the magnificence of the Niagara Falls. Just sit around, watch people pass by and buy little souvenirs. Yes, there are nice, clean hotels by the falls. I find it cheaper on the Canada side instead of the US side. The Falls and Falls area is alot of fun, I can't help you on hotels, no passport needed yet. Watch the water overflow (big-time), and not have to pay for any damage. There are two Niagara Falls, for your convenience. One in the U.S. and one in Canada. My fiance and I are going to Niagara Falls this Friday...so we'll be visiting at the same time! We are staying at the Comfort Inn Niagara. No, it is not a "Cheap" hotel...it is more midrange, however the food is expensive in Canada, and the Comfort Inn has free breakfast. Also, many/most hotels in Niagara Falls CHARGE for PARKING. Be sure to check before you book your hotel! Some places charge up to $20 per day for parking...and Comfort Inn has free parking. Since we are staying for 3 days, I figured it would save us $60 in parking alone, not to mention breakfast costs, to stay there. One of my favorite things to do in Niagara Fall is to go to Bird Kingdom. It is great aviary and also has reptiles and nocturnal animals as well What is your definition of "cheap"? There are a ton of motels/hotels on Lundy's Lane that start at $35 and can go up to a few hundred if you want something on Clifton Hill... You'd probably be better off in that area though if you're looking to walk around and see some attractions. The Butterfly Conservatory is cheap... they also have Adventure passes, I don't know if that's what they're actually called, but you can pay $50 or so for admission into 4 attractions in the area like the Aviary and some other things.... |
