Do you think the new york times will hlep mcain?

the nytimes is no longer the "paper of record". they are garbage and i refuse to read it anymore. i get better local news from the nypost and local news on tv, but i really do not like the times anymore and this is sad. they used to be great, but are now a joke. i don't think the Times article will do anything to McCain, hurt or help. it will be forgotten in a week.

Wait a moment....Didn't the NY Times have an article that talked about a possible relationship he had with a certain lobbyist? I could only think that would hurt him.

The Washington post has corroborated the story as far as the money and gifts he received for his influence and votes. Does really matter how much sex he got hes a crook and a liar anyway you look at it.

Clearly McCain doesn't think so.

He was out denying it like crazy yesterday.

When I hear that, I know it's a big deal!

I think the part that I found truely shocking was the stuff about the Keating 5. I mean, I knew McCain had been one of the Keating 5, but I thought, given his squeaky clean image, that he had only been very slightly involved, since the other members of the Keating 5 all lost their Senate seats, and he didn't.

I was really shocked to read just how involved he was. He called up the regulatory commission and lobbied to have Keating left alone, so he wouldn't be investigated. He didn't do it just once, but many times. AND McCain's wife owned a large peice of Keating's complany.

Why wasn't John McCain punished more severely back then??? That's what I really want to know. Sounds to me like he realy got away with a whole heck of a lot!!!
