Right now I live in Denmark, but my dream is to live in New York. What to do?

i have been there - last summer, and i LOVED it. I did not want to go home after that, and I miss it so much.

You should get a student visa and come for a short time to see if you like it.

I have a friend from Denmark and he has had a lot of problems with immigration unfortunately. I didn't think that many Danes were trying to move here, but I guess they are!

You may also want to look at international companies that have offices in both countries. If you start working there, it might be possible to come and work here.

Either way, a short trip first is always best to make sure this is the right place for you!

just come and figure it all out as you go along after you get here... i've always wanted to live in Denmark myself (if only for a little while, i do know some Danish...) maybe we can change places!

just come around , see some places where you would like to live and prepare your budget -- by the way save money

My friend, visit New York City first before you consider moving here. This city is very though at times and visiting the city is the best way to get the feel of New York City. It like buying a car, you have to test drive it first before you buy it, the same applies to New York City.

If you like the city, then you can start the process of moving here, which mean first, finding a place to live and second looking for a job. If you a college student, studing in the US, the major 2 universities in New York City, NYU and Columbia has dormoties for students.

But the first and most important thing to do is visit New York City first before considring moving here.

I hope this information is very helpful. Good luck

Are you sure you want to leave the happiest nation around? NY is great, but expensive. If you are used to big expenses like you have in Denmark you should be realistic enough to understand how costly it is to live in NYC. We don't have free health care so take that into consideration and school in not free either unless you get some help from the govt. Good luck and welcome.

trade places with me :(
i live in NY and want to move to Europe
i hate it here
