When you take a grand taxi do you pay for one space and ride cramped...?

or pay for an extra spot just so you have more room? Or are you lucky enough to not NEED a taxi?

Because of my disability (nerve damage to my legs and left arm and pain in my back and neck) my husband wouldn't use the grand taxis or any of the local buses so we always took the petit taxis. I did get the opportunity to drive a couple of times while I was in Casa. I think the people drive crazy and was a little apprehensive about driving, but after about 10 minutes on the road I fit right in.

I once took a grand taxi from casa to oualidia beach, when we arrived i couldn't get out, my left leg was numb and i couldn't feel it, loool, since then i started saving for a car...

Well my husband and I took a grand taxi from Marrakech to Agadir when we moved back here from the U.S. and flew into Marrakech. We paid for the entire taxi because we had loads of luggage and needed half the back seat for luggage, a cat and me in niqaab and I am not sitting next to some dude:-p

Now we use our own car.

Never took a grand taxi only the petit taxi and I WAS smooshed next to my husband --I was basically sitting on the door. :P

Yeah you sure can take a grand taxi and pay for an extra spot just to have some room...
As far as the seconde question is concerned i would say that it depends on where you are and how far is the place where you wanna go...

In Morocco when you get a grand taxi, they will NOT move till the taxi is full of 6 people plus the driver, BUT if you want go alone, you can, you just need to pay for the other five empty places. You like it or not, but this is the rule in Morocco
