Besides Mohammed and Khadija, what are some common names in Morocco?


and what are some UNcommon (but still Muslim) names?

I think the names I heard most often were Khalid and Fatima. My husband has a less common name, Rabii. He tells me the spelling is very close to the word for spring and he was born in the spring which is what gave his parents the idea for it.

Malika, Simohamed, Karima, Kenza, Loubna, Karim, Khalid, Tarek, Amine, Aicha, Abdel-anything, Nadia, Sana, Amel, Mahmoud, Maryam

For Girls, there is
Ghita (Rita is how it's pronounced)
Delilah (From the song Hey There Delilah)
Layla or Laila (it's real popular worldwide but is arabic)
Miriam (Also real popular worldwide)
Maria (is popular in morocco but not in other muslim places)
Aisha (not one of my favorites)
Sofia or Sophia (pretty nice name)

For Boys, there is
Khalid (pretty cool)
Ali (my uncle's name and is pretty muslum)
Abdul (kind of overused)
Driss (read how it is, one of my favorites)
Tarek (Nice name open to nicknames)
Yusef (Joseph in Arabic)
Adam (Good Muslim prophet and international name)

not sure about names in morocco, but i like Amalina (^^,) it's pretty common here in malaysia

edit: Hey Samir! I knew a Moroccan Samir -- I always thought it was a great name.

Khalid and Fatima are two that immediately come to mind. Also Kareem and Amina are two other very popular names.
