Is Morocco dangerous.I wanna go on a vacation there?

Is Morocco dangerous.I wanna go on a vacation there?

Short answer: no. Morocco, though being a Muslim nation, is the most open country and their people are known for their generosity and openness.

Just as with any other country you don't want to get yourself into situations that would get you in trouble. Even though the majority of Moroccans are the nicest people in the world, there are also troublemakers and you need to stay away from them.

Ramadan is coming up... respect their culture and religion. That is mightily important. Other than that go over there and have yourself a good time!

No, not really. I mean things happen everywhere but I would feel safer there than in the U.S. and many other places. Have you been to a third world country before? There are some things to keep in mind but if you are a smart and a frequent traveler I really doubt you would have any real problems.

I'll star this for you. I've a lot of contacts who are connected with Morocco.

only parts of it :-)

NO! I lived there for 6 months and had absolutely no problems. Use common sense, avoid suspicious areas, dress appropriately and respect the culture and religion and you should be just fine.

Generally speaking no. There have been a few incidents in the past few years, as in many other countries, but the government has been quick to react and does so quite strongly.
There are thousands of tourists in my city alone (not that I own it haha) on any given day with no problems.

no. it's not a dangerous country. just avoid hanging out alone late at night. and avoid empty places.
have a nice trip

Whaaat ?? dangerous?? nahhhhh....just come and have fun, i've been living here in the biggest city for more than 20 years and it's really safe.
Morocco is the best third world country

not a dangerous place. Just be prudent like everywhere else. If you need help, let me know. Yassine, Casablanca

I traveled to Europe and North Africa when I was 18 in 1970, and hitch-hiked from Tangier to Casablanca and Marrakesh and on to Fez...just an amazing country. I was from a small town in Alberta, Canada and extremely naive and trusting. As I was on a low budget, I was always looking for the cheapest place to stay, so I did encounter some very clever and tricky people trying to get me to stay at their hotels...and was tricked several times, but never felt Moroccans would be violent. Most people were very hospitable. If you behave properly in their country, I am sure you will earn their respect, and not encounter problems.

Engaging in discussions about politics or religion is not a wise idea unless you know your freinds well.
