People keep talking about seafood bistella!!!???

I have cookbooks with a few recipes but one looks less than apetizing...can somebody give me their recipe?

I was about to post a braewat question! haha

I can. Give me a few minutes.

Okay, this is for shrimp braewats but it is the same thing. In addition to the shrimp add a nice white fish and some calamari. For a bistilla I would use small shrimp and leave them whole, you can lessen the amount of shrimp and compensate with the fish and calamari. Be careful not to overcook the calamari.. you may even want to under cook it b4 u put it in the bastilla mixture.

This will make a small bistilla. Maybe 8-9 inches across.
Shrimp Braewats

2 oz. rice vermicelli
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
12-16 oz. medium shrimp
1 teaspoon paprika
3 tablespoons fresh cilantro/coriander
陆 teaspoon cumin
2 teaspoon lemon juice
3 tablespoons chopped flat leaf parsley (also called Italian parsley)
2 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
Spring roll papers or phyllo dough or warka. Whatever you prefer or can get.

-Soak the vermicelli in water; set side.

-Cook the shrimp, onion and oil. Let cool

-Coarsely chop the shrimp/onion mixture. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well.

-I usually use about a large tablespoon for each paper. Fold them whatever way you please J

-At this point you can freeze them (they will last at least one month). Fry them or bake them in oven. Bake them is better.....350潞F until light brown.

You can also make the braewats and add the fish and calamari to it, that way you can just make a few at a time and freeze the rest....they're the same thing really.

EDIT: I have other braewat recipes too.

I love seafood bistella...my sister in law makes the best I've ever eaten. She gave a recipe....but since I am not much of a cook I never tried to make and I tried to find it for you but I can't. Anyway, I will copy Sara's and try one day. Sarah, I think my sister in law adds pickles, have you seen that? Hummm, my mouth is watering now!

seafood pastilla is just too delicious!!!!!!!! better than briouates by far !!!!
