Do you like to use colorant alimentaire in your tagines? |
It's food coloring. Yeah, we don't use a whole packet either just a little shake and not even all the time---but YIKES! I didn't know that! I do prefer to use saffron but sometimes I can't resist the yellowness and I do use the colorant :-) My husband's reaction was as expected: "we grew up with it and we are fine". He says he doesn't use much anyway and that saffron is not the same - and by that he means not as yellow ;-) I guess other than that the only thing I can do is make the powder disappear little by little (just kidding!) Report It I don't like to use it but I admit I do. I use very little unlike many Moroccans who will use an entire packet. I have a shaker of it and use one small shake. It makes the tagine look prettier. Our family doesn't use it much, and I am glad. I haven't mastered the bread technique well either, so I am always give an fork :-) |
