Instant couscous or regular couscous...what about whole wheat couscous?

Do you use and or prefer regular couscous that you need to steam or instant couscous? Do you like whole wheat couscous?

Where are you? I'm in the US and I have w.wheat couscous.

I love regular couscous. But, it takes so long to make. Plus my couscous pot is very small, so it is hard to make enough. If I am going to be spending that much time doing it, I want to make TONS!!! I have made it a few times.

I will only cook it on a special night. If it is just me and my Husband, and I will just use the one from the box.

I have used the whole wheat one from time to time. But, my husband likes the regular one better, so I usually buy that one.

We unfortunately have to buy what's going, so there is no element of choice. If we could, then we would buy whole wheat couscous. We like to steam our couscous over our improvised couscoussi猫re. Instant couscous can be very useful, however, for tabouleh. http://www.nejamestaboule.com/dietzone.h...

I have never (nor has my wife who is Moroccan) eaten Instant Couscous... cooking it is an all-day affair.

Whole-wheat couscous is better for you in my opinion and tastes just about the same as 'regular' couscous.

My husband's family only uses the all day method of cooking couscous. I'm certainly going to look for that whole wheat couscous. It's much better for me than the regular stuff- though in actuality, I should have very little of any of it :-((

instant cous cous. never heard of it. but nothing instant tastes good. and the whole wheat will take a lil while to get use to but the regular is the best

even though i never ate whole wheat. im basing it on usually regular and whole wheat foods

I've used the instant b4 and it is okay, but I don't use it in a traditional dish of Moroccan style cous cous and vege's. I would mix it with some cilantro and nuts and serve it as a side dish. You just have to be careful to not over cook it, use vege stock instead of water and do it quickly.

If I am going to make Moroccan cous cous and vege's (and maybe meat) I will use the Tria brand. Even in the US I bought Tria. Whole wheat is good too. I'm up for anything.
But I don't eat cous cous very often. It isn't a dish I like so much. :-o!
