In Morocco soon...?

I'm visiting Morocco with some friends soon, I'm 17, and regretfully I smoke. I'm not sure what the legal age is in Morocco, but I'm worried about the police giving me greif for it because they want bribes.

Is this likely to happen?

I would say it is less likely, since you are a foreigner, that they will bother you about it. Police are actually told not to bother tourists unless they are doing something seriously bad.

EDIT: I am starting to think there isn't an actual age restriction on smoking. You see kids selling cigarettes here all the time and the police only (maybe) stop them if they are selling single cigarettes at a time (that I know for sure is illegal). I'd ask my husband but he is sleeping!

I doubt it ppl smoke hash and the police do nothing...although you being a foreigner might be a prob. but I doubt it would be with cigarettes...just wait. I have contacts that are in Morocco...maybe they will see this later. I'd ask my husband but he's not home.

I don't think buddy, just fill up those lungs...(you should stop by the way), in morocco there's no such a thing as the age restrictions to smoke, if you have a one year old baby that can go to the market and buy cigarettes they will give it to him.

welcome to morocco and i'm sure you will enjoy it

they probably won't say anytthing to you. they won't really know your real age anyways.
