What are the items from Morocco that you think could sell well at a flea market in America?

There are huge flea markets near us and I saw all kinds of leather things from Mexico the other day. (Of course we live in an area with tons of Mexicans) Made me think of Moroccan leather. Is there anything that you think could sell well at a flea market in America?

zelo, this is why i was thinking of smaller iyems i could bring back myself

I don't know the US market but how about those pouffees that you can fill up with old clothes, or bags of polystyrene balls perhaps these days. They make great footstools. What about Morrocan slippers and also pottery. If there are many Muslims in your area: how about Morrocan hooded Jilbabs for both men and women. Even non-Muslims might like these :)

Hope this helps.
Best wishes.

Thanks :) Good luck with your ventures and the embroidered Jilbabs sound lovely :) Report It

Exotic rugs, furniture and statues always sell well in America.

I agree that rugs, furniture and leather would be the top three things to sell; however, have you checked the price of shipping of these items to America?

THAT is why you see Mexican items and not European/Moroccan items for sale.

I am working on a similar project. The teapots and small tea glasses would sell. Tea tables and small furniture like the leather poufs are very popular. Also small carpets. And that's just a start!

If you start selling rugs a Jilbabs, let me know, I would be interested. Everything is so expensive in retail shops here...It would almost be less expensive to fly to the Mid East and purchase them!

I agree with the things like teapots and cups.

Also, lanterns would sell very well.

Things like small wooden jewelry boxes. Or even the inexpensive silver jewelry.

Scarves would also be nice. Depending on where you sell them, you can sell them as scarves or hijabs.

Ohh yes, I almost forgot, tunics. You can sell them of all sizes, from child to adult Both male and female.

I was actually looking at a few sites you posted in a previous answer and love the wooden jewelry boxes because they don't have ring holder compartments and things like that, they are just boxes that could be used for anything. I also loved the tea glasses and the silver cuff bracelets. Actually probably any of the jewelry would sell as would pottery and "knick-knacks". I think very pretty hijabs would probably sell very quickly if there is a large Muslim population that frequents the flea markets. You could even sell these items on ebay pretty easily.

Silver jewelry, leather goods, shoes, wooden boxes, silk, small pottery, teapots, cups...

sorry no idea

Henna lamps, silver jewelery, tea glasses, pottery

I know where you live and I know what you mean about Mexican products. Yes, it is because you are close to Mexico but it is really about all the Mexicans living there! Especially because they are the ones that shop the most at the flea market. I am closer to the border than you and see that here all the time.

I think you could sell scarves, pouffs, silver, tea glasses. Maybe get a bit of everything and make the display look really great. You could probably make more money off the stuff that way too! GOOD LUCK
