Do you feel like your clothes get dirtier while in Morocco? |
I heard some ppl saying that they couldn't keep their clothes clean while there (for extended stays). They said they ALWAYS had to wash them. I didn't have this problem and found it a little odd because I know at least some ppl in Morocco wear the same thing for more than one day in a row (just like in Europe -at least where I have been there) and some ppl will even refer to their friends by saying, Yeah, he's the guy with the yellow shirt (because he always wears his fav. yellow shirt). LOL saphiredragon6969....I think the general way it is spelled is djellaba or jellaba it also depends if you are doing it phonetically in French or not. :) yes i think because of the climate and unpaved roads, etc. i know the pollution in casa is bad and i have to wash my hair every day when i'm there - like new york, the same thing. Yes, if I spend a lot of time out of the house I feel my clothes get dirtier quicker. I think it is because all of the dirt/sand in the air. They also don't really clean the walks and streets so good, there is a lot of sand on them and this gets kicked up onto the bottom of my abaya. My shoes get dirty extremely fast! LOL Fez! I don't think they do. But sometimes when there is alot of wind my eyes sure get dirtier! The only thing I have noticed is when I wear my jdillaba(spelling?) out it tends to get dirty very fast, but then they are light colored. Makes you wonder how picky some people are about being clean. Yes... and no. I think it depends on where you are and what you are doing. I walk to the beach a lot so my shoes are always dirty and my husband is forever cleaning them for me (what a sweet man!)I do know that my husband wears the same clothes many times because he only wears them outside and he is often out for only a short time. Once he comes home he changes back into his comfortable clothes. I have found he often gets dirty because of other people and not because of where he is- one day a man threw yogurt at another man and missed... and hit my husband instead ROFL It's funny now :-) If we are outside for a long time though, the clothes are washed much sooner because where we are there is currently a lot of construction and things are often quite dirty. never been there, but would like to one day |
