How much does a beer cost in Montreal on the Ste Catherine strip?

I want to go there for two nights in May, and I'm not sure how much anything costs. I don't know anyone thats been there, so if anyone has any input at all about Ste Catherine in Montreal, itd be a great help. Thanks

P.S. Are you referring to purchasing a beer in a store or at a bar/restaurant? The latter would be more expensive, of course!

It can be from like 3 dollars to about 8 dollars (depends on size and place)
