Why are some street lamps so uncared in Montreal?

All the street lamps on Saint Catherine street are dirty. I'm talking about the glass bulb. The glass doesn't look transparent anymore, it looks brown. Don't they clean them once in a while? Compare them to the new ones on Saint Laurent Boulevard. There is a huge difference. Is this supposed to be normal. Why don't they clean them?

Does it really matter?

Why don't you buy a sponge and some glass cleaner (and a ladder too!) and get cracking as soon as you have some free time on your hands?

Good luck to you!

Perhaps the supervisor responsible for the St. Catherine street bulbs isn't cracking the whip the way the supervisor responsible for the St. Laurent street bulbs is? It's no secret that Montreal city workers are not the most dedicated bunch.

they would rather spend the money on the language police than keep their city clean
