What's the best way to get from Burlington to Montreal?

... and how long does it take??

Thanks for any help!!

If you don't want to do the train, try the Greyhound bus. Here is their link. But my choice would be to fly - much faster and you can often get quite reasonably priced flights, especially if you book on the airlines own website - not expedia or any of those.

Go Train to Toronto 30 minutes, transfer over to a VIA Rail train, no hassle, a 5 hour trip to downtown Montreals Central Station, I am a former chef and travelled there and back from Brantford many times.

Depending on the turn around when you get to Union Station and the train leaves for Montreal, it could be total time of 8-10 hours.

the best way is to Drive it is a straight shot up the 401 and depending on how you drive and the weather it can take between 5-6 hours. Ontario 403 to 407 to 404 to 401 Quebec 401 turns into 20 to 540 to 40

Will this do?

96 miles in just under two hours...

Not bad huh?

401 via the qew .not sure why that one guy a bad rating who suggested same thing ,i gave you a good rating..bro.

By car
Interstate 89 lies just to the east of town. The town center is accessible via exit 14W, while the south end of town can be accessed Interstate 189 at exit 13. Interstate 89 continues north to the Canadian border at Highgate, and south to the New Hampshire border. It is a 6 hour drive from New York City, a 3.5 hour drive from Boston and a 1.5 hour drive from Montreal.

By bus
There is a bus terminal on Pine Street, just south of downtown.

Vermont Transit Company, 345 Pine Street, Phone: 1-800-552-8737, [3].
By train
The closest Amtrak station is in Essex Junction, about a 10-15 minute drive to the east. Amtrak provides daily service to Washington, D.C. via New York City.

By ferry
Ferry service is available seasonally from downtown Burlington to Port Kent, NY across Lake Champlain; this gives access to the Adirondacks area of New York state. See the Lake Champlain Transportation for schedule and rates.

As you may or may not have gathered, there's a Burlington in Ontario and one in Vermont.
I can only assume that you're coming from Vermont since everyone in Burlington ON knows how to get to Montreal.
Head north, about two-three hours depending on the wait at the border.
