Montreal bars?

Montreal bars?

What kind of music you like?

Well the good thing with Montreal is that they are concentrated in the same areas.

You have the west side of downtown:
Two streets perpendicular to St-Catherine (main street)
Crescent street (best for night clubs, I warn you girls there love to show off how beautiful they are, and damn... they are :) ) You can find some cool Irish pubs with live traditional music)
Bishop street (same than above but not as cool)
Mostly Anglophone

More toward the east downtown:
St-Laurent (a lot of night clubs as well) Half Francophone half Anglophone
St-Denis (Terrace, like the huge St-Sulspice) There you get everything from night club to Jazz, Blues, Rock and Heavy Metal bars. Live music in some places. Mostly Francophone

On St-Catherine from about St-Laurent to around St-Denis:
Different types of bar. If you like rock/metal/alternative you can go to Fouffoune electrique (electric butt)
Of course there you find the 281. Well I mention that because you are a lady :) It's a well known strip club for ladies and it's so popular that they are making the line shamelessly to go in on the main street :) Mostly Francophone
In old port:
Several cool pubs and jazz clubs. But one that you should miss if you want to feel a crazy french canadian atmosphere is Les deux Pierrots. There is a live music but the place is huge and full... Once my cousin told me to meet him there and I felt like I was playing Where's Waldo... People there are just partying singing out loud known quebecer songs or beetles...
Mostly Francophone

On St-Catherine east of St-Denis
Gay area, there you can find many night clubs.

Anyways you have more but I think you should be alright. Damn now I miss Montreal...

Excellent reply by Fran莽ois by the way!

Need I say more?

P.S. Have fun checking out the following links!
