Week end ideas near Montreal ?

Ok, we just moved to Montreal, we are two, with a car, and we have 2-3 days off at the end of march.

We are not really fond of skiing but other outdoor activities could interest us.

Our budget is not particularly limited.

Do you have ideas ? 3-4 hours max from Montreal ? Descriptions, details, accomodations, activites and internet website welcome !

We want to stay in Canada.

So you guys don't like skiing much huh?

How about ice skating outdoors instead?

It's a lot of fun and great exercise too!

And it can be done right here in Montreal such as on the Lac des Castors on the Mont-Royal or even downtown near La Place-des-Arts; you can even enjoy it during the evening because the skating rink will be lit up by then!

If you don't mind leaving the city, how about ice skating on a frozen lake in the Laurentians, for example?

I've done it many times and it's perfectly safe, trust me!

Have you visited Quebec City yet or any other smaller towns within the Province of Quebec?

That might be an idea too, who knows?

Go see a Habs game or dance the night away in one of their top notch night clubs. that's what I would do...not your cup of tea...check below for some other ideas.
