Is mexico city too dangerous?? |
I'm going this march to visit a friend...the main areas i will be around is san angel inn, insurgentes, coyoacan, lomas del pedregal. dont dress flashy or inappropiate NO. It is a walk in the park. Their legal system is very different from ours so it can be dangerous if you're not careful. It is not uncommon for white women to be kidnapped and sold as sex slaves. Seriously. Don't go anywhere alone. Also it's really polluted. It's not if you're Mexican. Teenage white girl? Probably In all honesty, while the border issues are getting worked out and with the elections coming up this year, traveling through Mexico is probably not the best idea. There are serious safety issues so you may want to reconsider your travel plans. just keep your hands in your pockets or someone else's will be in there Not as dangerous as New Orleans. yep make sure you dont go around by yourself Where in the world is it not dangerous??? Mexico is a beautiful place and you never hear any of the good things, only bad things like how people get murdered and blah blah blah...that stuff happens everyday all around the world. So my response would be, not any more dangerous than your home town :) all iv got to say is doint take a car there you wont come back with it I heard it was very dangerous. I don't know if you watch E! but they had a story about Spring Break trips gone bad and most of the stories they showed were from trips to Mexico. Just be careful I mean it's not like everyone who goes there doesn't come back. Anytime you're in a poverished country, city, or town, you should always be a little concerned because people do a lot of crazy things out of desperation. Don't travel alone and don't wear any "bling bling", oh yeah and don't try to be too sexy. Well just dont wear jewelry, but other than that you should be ok, and if you dont knw spanish then you should learn at least some. It can get hairy. My husband is Mexican, and I've gone to Mexico to meet his family. You really need to keep your wits about you. Pay attention to everything around you and you'll be fine. Just pay attention. mexico city is probably as dangerous as chicago or detroit and if yu look it up those are in the top mst dangerous cities in the US and there wayyy smaller than mexico city. rles aply just like her if your a girl dont go anywhere alone eople that say its sooo horble are just being stereotypical they way americans think of them if there stereotypical they must think were sooo stupid. so just dont go anywhere alone like here i wouldnt go anywhere alone. hahahhahha I am laughing about all the people wrote. Ok it is a dangerous city but you mention san angel, insurgentes, coyoacan, lomas and actullay those places are where rich people live. Coyoacan is a beatiful place you will love it!!!!! YOU WILL BE IN NICE PLACES, WHERE MOST WEALTHY, HIGH MIDDLE CLASS GO AROUND, YOU WILL SE BMW, MERCEDES, VOLVOS, AUDIS, DANGEROUS, ANY CITY KNOW IS BAD, SO JUST BE CAREFULL, AND DONT BE SO PARANOID, JUST DO NOT GO WHERE YOU DONT KNOW, KEEP AROUND THESE ICE PLACES. if you are planning travel to Mexico city I suggest don麓t travel alone at least 3 people, besides everybody say DON'T GO TO GARIBALDI (the place were mariachis plays) and coyoacan is very simple, i like better "centro de Tlalpan" nice place to buy authentic handcrafts and you have to visit Teotihuacan, but you always have to be carefull it from 1 to 10, mexico is in a 7 of dangerousness haha my *** is dangerous! mexico city not well only a little.. In spring break, of course, but not for the Mexicans it's for the American girls/boys drinking and having sex in public! other way, Mexico is safe is you do that a normal and smart people do here, you know, dont walk alone in the night, don't carry jewerly........... Any were you go , go with someone it will be better if its a man be care full with your cell phone and your purse Carrie your money in your pocket not in your wallet if little kids ask for money do not give them anything. Mexico City is safe, specially if you hang out with a local. No need to worry. I've been to NYC and it's a bit more dangerous and scary. Not if you take the right precautions. Is as dangerous as New York, Paris or any big city in the world, just be careful and you shall have no problems at all!! My experience in Mexico City is limited to various daytime excursions I took to the city with student groups organized by a language school that I attended in Cuernavaca. In a group and during the day we were relatively safe, but that is likely because we were in such a controlled and organized tour. Yeah, there's a lot of criminals. people are in a rush to cross the fence duh I don't know where the hell you are going to in Mexico City, but I know Mexico as is the land of criminals, gangsters, and corrupt government. |
