What to do in one day? (In Mexico City)? |
I will be traveling to Tampico, but I will be layed over for a day The slums? Boy you sound like fun. There are enough places to view the downtrodden - even in first tier countries. I would recommend you to go to the Historical Downtown where the Zocalo Plaza is located (Plaza de la Constitucion) from that area you can visit Mexico City's most visited places. The Archaeological Area "El Templo Mayor" is located just behind the plaza. In this Plaza you can also find the National Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral if you walk a little further through Reforma Avenue you will find The National Palace of Arts and the Latinoamerican Tower (One of the tallest buildings in Latin America) And I guess that would be enough for one day. Go vist the slums and see how fortunate you really are. |
