Mexico In march?

What is Mexico like in late March (weather etc). I am thinking of visiting Mexico City and a couple of other characterful places.

Is it a nice city to visit?
Are there interesting attractions there?
is it safe?
What are the people like?
Is it easy to communicate?
Is it easy to get around on public transport?
Is it easy enough to meet young people and young travellers?

Which other places in Mexico are worth visiting? Cities with culture, places on the coast worth going to in March etc

Mexico is a big place, and like the US, the weather can vary greatly depending on where you are. However, March should be very pleasant.
I did not care for Mexico City, although there are great things to see there. The air pollution is horrid, the city smells bad and the crime is high. However, once you leave the city, it is wonderful. We were there for a week and used only public transport and taxi cabs. The bus system is great, much better than US and they usually even give you a sack lunch and show movies in very comfy seats. Everyone is very friendly, and it is easy to meet people. Everyone wants to practice their english, although you should work to be able to communicate before you go, it will make negotiating public transport easier.

In Mexico City, check out the pyramids, museums and cathedrals. Then head out to some of the smaller cities an hour or two away. I went to Quetetaro (I don't think I spelled it right) which is famous for gems and mining. It was wonderful. The food is great outside of Mexico City, and I felt safe just about everywhere (and we were all women traveling together).

Have fun!

nice city to visit "san luis potosi"
colonial town worth visiting "guanajuato" in the state of guanajuato, "san miguel de allende" in the state of guanajuato,
"puerto vallarta" in the state of jalisco, actually the whole state of jalisco is worth visisiting, iT'S the PLACE of origin of the tequila, the mariachi as well you should also visit the biggest city in the state of jalisco which is called "guadalajara" is jut awesome, and take your time to go to Tlaquepaque and Tonal谩.
tHE STATE of jalisco in itself is one of the most robust places mexico has to offer to any international tourist.

The weather will be hot (30+ celcius)
It is the most beautiful city in the world: art, food, history, people.
Museum's galore, food, etc...
In the daylight with lots of people - you need to be safe in the subways and at night. Take precautions with cash!
The people are very generous, nice. It is like a new world, not like a lot of parts of Mexico.
A lot of people speak spanish and english.
Public transportation is best in the world, you can get anywhere at anytime.
See guadalara, puebla

Weather: it will be a bit hot during midday.
Yes, it is a very beautiful city to visit, especially the colonial buildings.
I think you should visit the Castillo de Chapultepec, the Cathedral, Palacio de Iturbide and any other museum you can get your hands on.
The people are very friendly actually. They'll talk to you about anything at any moment!
It should be fairly easy to communicate, depending on where you are.
Public transport....well, it will take you sometime, since the traffic is very slow...besides the fact that the transport might be dirty. I wouldn't jump on any cab though...some of them are not for real. Try one recommended by your hotel or airport cabs.
I think you should be able to meet new people if you are open enough!

You should visit: Puebla, Hidalgo, Veracruz, San Luis Potos铆, Oaxaca, Estado de M茅xico and Michoac谩n.
