Whats a nice, safe, rich city in mexico? any one know? give me some names? |
im planning to go to mexico and live there for a while does anyone know whats a nice safe city to live in where you dont have to worry about crime. Or you wont be targetted because your an american. Let me know if you have any ideas Bagalood is correct. Guanajuato is a beautiful colonial town with many cultural activities. It is also very, very safe. I lived there for six months and there were never any problems. You will find a great mix of Mexicans and foreigners living there and it has an excellent university. It is a town, however, and you have to travel about 45 minutes to Leon to have US type stores and restaurants. I used to go to Leon about once a month. Whatever you decide, be sure to visit first and spend some time in the city. I lived in Mexico for 8.5 years and loved it. My buddy lived in ajijic (i think that's how to spell it) its out side of guadalajara. There are a lot of Canadians that live there. It is very nice. and the weather is UNBELIEVABLE. Ajijic is very nice, it's a town where many north Americans have moved to retire. It is not a city. Hello. aguascalientes is a great city for you. firstly, it has the highest per capita income of the entire country. it's also small enough for you to get a handle on the city. it has very nice areas, and then normal areas, but they are all safe...except for one area of the city which i don't care for, you would have no reason to ever go there and i doubt you'd find it even if you tried. Monterrey the 3er city in Mexico only behind of Guadalajara (2nd) and Mexico City (1st). Mexico City can be great. It is the richest city in the country by far, there are an infinite amount of things to do and it really is fun and beautiful. Some of the nicer neighborhoods are Lomas, Polanco, Pedregal, La Herradura, Lomas Country, Tecamachalco. There are thousands of Americans there and it is a great place. As far as safety is concerned, you just stay away from bad neighborhoods and be smart. I actually went to school in The American School Foundation www.asf.edu.mx and it was great, everyone spoke english and it is just like living in the US. I lived there 20 years and never was the victim of any crime. if you like beach, Cancun or Puerto Vallarta are very very nice! Morelia in Michoacan is a friendly, safe place. morelia would also be my choice. I am from mexico city and that is very dangerous and i also lived in morelia and it is very peaceful guanajuato is a great place...its not a big city but it is very safe. san miguel de allende is also a really good place...theres a large community of americans there so being white wont be a problem. Puerto penasco is the perfect place to live or just to have fun |
