How many miles to mexico city from sacramento?

and how long to drive, and is it true i dont need a passport if i return by 1/1/08?

Passports will not be needed for LAND travel to and from Mexico until after summer 2008. See website below and read top half of the page for the CURRENT announcement.

The distance is:

3018 kilometers
1875 miles
1630 nautical miles

Take your pick!

go to a map site it will tell u there.

a whole lotta miles, u r talking days. u better off greyhounding it to TJ and taking a 2 1/2 flight to Mexico city from Tj with Volaris the new airline. check Volaris.com.

I think you'll gonna need a lot of gas, oil changes, water and public restrooms, cause it's a big ammount of miles from Sacramento to Mexico City.

If you really want to get there driving, try the route Tijuana-Hermosillo-Culiacan-Mazatlan-Tep...

And, by the way: The passport by land will NOT be required until SUMMER 2009, not 2008, because it will be an election year. Altough, it is not required, it may come in handy while you're down there for ID purposes.

Another of My Suggestions: Why not try Monterrey, Mexico instead of Mexico City?
