Where can I go grocery shopping in San Angel, Mexico City?

I usually shop at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods Market in the US. Is there anything similar in colonia San Angel or close to colonia San Angel? If so how do I get there using peseros and the metro?

There is no equivalent to those type of grocery stores in Mexico yet. There is basically two main chains in there. One is affiliated to Costco and the other to Walmart. The names are Aurrera (Walmart) and Comercial Mexicana (Costco) You can find their location and sample of products in their web sites:

Yes you can use Peseros or basically walk to either store depending on the precise location within San Angel. There are also some Mercados in the area, which are closer to "Farmer Markets" in the USA.

On Insurgentes Sur there is a big supermarket, it is located near the Coyoacan metro station. I don't remember the name, but there is a large pedestrian bridge next to it.
