Im a green card holder, do i need a visa to go to mexico?

Im a green card holder, do i need a visa to go to mexico?

It depends on your nationality. Since you are not a US passport holder, read below:

If you are a citizen of Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Island, Israel, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, United States of America, Uruguay or Venezuela, you don鈥檛 need a visa to enter Mexico, although you must present a valid passport and fill out an immigration form for tourists and business trips, which can be obtained in travel agencies, airlines or at the point where you enter Mexico.

The immigration officer at your point of entry into Mexico can also request that you demonstrate that you have sufficient funds and a return ticket to your country.

If you are a citizen of any other country, you need to go to a Mexican consulate to request a visa. If you have a family member, friend or acquaintance in Mexico, he or she can do this at the INM.

Consult the requirements or go to any of the INM delegations throughout Mexico for detailed information about requesting a visa.

Good luck

No. Just make sure to bring your green card along with your passport. You'll need them when entering back into the US.

No visa is required unless you plan to stay for a long time, but a passport is a must to get back into U.S. along with Green Card. A Green Card simply means you have legal right to stay and work, but you are not a fully legal resident. Hence, you still need a passport to enter U.S. even if Americans don't need one yet.

No.

Actually green card does allow you to stay legally on US soil, but It does not identify you as a US national. What I mean by that is that it depends on the country you are coming from. If you are a citizen of the European Union, US, Canada or some other countries you don't. Be sure to check this websites and avoid problems. You can also check with you local Mexican Consulate or embassy.
