Yes ,I do belive you, I lived in Mexicali until I was 19, and bad part of there is not only that is hot, but the horrible humidity that hit in this time of the year, if you dont have ac you can die in there.
I still go there to visit my family at least once a month but right now i think twice going there is horrible, the last time I went was back in May and I left at 7 am to not get the heat.
Well it was nice to interact with somebody of my hometown my family lives at fracc. San Marcos, Good luck with the heat.

Yup I know I was born there and visit my relatives often. It is HOT there; no doubt. What is harder to believe is my grandfather builds house at that temperature!(in Mexicali) To me that is truly admirable!
