Are there hot springs in the yucatan penisula?

available to the public

I've been there and driven by car a lot. Never heard of any hot springs.

They do have many "Cenottis".
These are natural spring lakes of cold water.
Some are open to the public for viewing, no swimming. Human sacrifices were once carried out in those. Some located in deep pits with deep water.

I was fortunate to have visited some private homes in the city of Merida, about 4 hours from Cancun. Some of the homes have a Cenotti in their basement and are used as swimming pools. Very cold.

Merida is a very metropolitan city. Lots of excellent restaurants.

Driving by car is OK, ONCE. The jungles do have wild animals and very dense growth. The road sides have to be constantly cleared year round or the jungle would soon cover them. Very few small villages. I drove for hours without seeing another car. Occasionally a few trucks.

i have spent Lot's time in Yucatan never heard of any hot springs
