Where is the kidnapping taking place?

some people said ther was kidnapping going on in mexico. what areas might that be?

Instead what urban leyends says, the problem of Mexico's kidnapping is not something where the tourist are the targets, in the reality the targets are rich (very rich) mexican people.

If you are a tourist, the bands ok kidnappers can't know if you are a very rich o a just middleclass tourist.

For a succesful kidnapping, they need to watch their victim for months.

Kidnapping is a crime which takes place in every major city all over the world. I have not heard of any particular place in Mexico which has more kidnappings than any other.

It's all over. Especially along the border cities. Women seem to be the main target.
I've also know that many murders take place and bodies are found with the kidneys removed to be sold on the black market.

Probably Mexico City, although if you look at the % of population to crime, it's lower than most cities in the world, including in the USA. It's mostly a domestic problem that affects the wealthiest class of Mexicans. As for the comment about body parts, puleeeze! I lived in Mexico for 10 years, went to and from Mexico city regularly, visited most of the country, except the Veracruz area, and I never felt unsafe. I'm a blonde, anglo saxon female, so I got a lot of whistles, but otherwise respectful treatment.
