When staying in Merida, Mexico what hotel would be closest to the city center?

Would it be better to spend time in Cancun first or after staying in Merida? Will be in Merida for three weeks. What is easier flight wise, to and from the states?

Generally speaking it's much easier to get to Cancun then Merida. There are a few direct flights to Merida from Miami (Aeromexico), sometimes Atlanta (Delta) and Houston (Continental) but from almost anywhere else you are going to end up with one or more connectors. Many more flights to Cancun for sure. I don't know much about the hotels in Merida. I've just visited there from the coast on day trips. You could try this website:
