How are cyclones in mauritius? |
I heard that jan/feb are cyclone periods in Mauritius.what of category are they? and what care need to take when you are there. Also is it safe to travel that time. Do airlines cancel their flights that time? I already gave you some info. about the cyclones in your other question. Don't let worry about cyclones ruin your travel plans. Mauritius is a wonderful place to visit and the possibility of having a bad cyclone during your visit is actually pretty unlikely. Most of the cyclones (even the severe ones) only last a day or so. Any flight plans would only be delayed for a day, perhaps 2 at the most. Very few people get hurt during even the severe cyclones and usually it is because of their own carelessness (picking up a downed power-line) (going up on their roof to fix their antennae in the pouring rain) (trying to drive through roads that are flooded by the river) that sort of thing. Most people just stay in for the day and relax and then clean up any mess the next day. Thanks! Have Fun! Report It I understand they are very good cleaners! Bagless i think. |
