Why don't nations train their military to be more like the brave Mauritiun's?

Why doesn't France hire some to defend their borders?

I have to agree with you. I will say though, it's the first time I have ever seen a "Hobie Cat" with a machine gun mounted on it.....This is for "ENATOU"...................................

who the heck are they?

Hey man, what RUBBISH are talking??? I am also a Mauritian but living in Canada and what I would like to tell you that we cannot be compared to large nation like France or any big countries. Mauritius is a small island with a population of nearly of 1.5 millions as if a not even a big city in one of the European cities so it is stupid to compare us with big ones. I don't say that we have soldiers but the way that these big countries train their men is completely another question or issue as they have everyday alert of bombing or facing difficult issues that we do not even think of in our small island which is said to be very quiet and passive compare to what is happening to the rest of the world and sincerely hope that Mauritius remain as it is otherwise it will be a night mare for the population.

To say why France don't hire some of our Guys for their borders on the simplest reason that we do not have the training and expertise required to do so. Mauritius is an island without border so it is not easy to control a border. Here in Canada sometimes you read on newspaper that the Border Offices have evacuate their post for the reason of life threatening. So it is not just as simple as that.
