Have anyone been to Mauritius?

how did u find it?

I have twice and it is unbelievably beautiful. The scenery is magnificent and the water (no waves) is warm. The people, although poor, are relaxed, happy and friendly. When we were there, there were only 4 people in prison (not a typo). They are fantastic!

The goods are cheap and the food is amazing...

Have to rush, need to call my travel agent to book a ticket to go back :)

no

Mauritius, officially the Republic of Mauritius (French: is an island nation in the southwest Indian Ocean, about 900 kilometres (560 mi) east of Madagascar and about 3,943 kilometers (2,450 mi) southwest of India. In addition to the island of Mauritius, the republic includes the islands of St. Brandon, Rodrigues and the Agalega Islands. Mauritius is part of the Mascarene Islands, with the French island of R茅union 200 kilometers (125 mi) to the southwest.

Haven't been there, but knew a woman from Mauritius. We all thought see was in her mid 20s but found out she was nearly fifty! All that meditation and healthy eating I guess. She was fascinating and I swear I will go there one day.

I have lived in Mauritius, and hope to return some day. Shopping is fun and inexpensive, food is great, (both the local Creole cooking and the restaurants). The island has a lot of pretty areas and many different cultures, but what I loved most are the Mauritian people. Very very nice!
