What are prices like in Mauritius?

I'm going to Ambre Hotel in belle mare 鈥?could you tell me an average of how much it would cost from Mauritius Airport to the Hotel by taxi? Bus? Any additional information would be helpful? Thanks

By Bus

You will have to take two buses to reach the hotel. One from the Airport to Mahebourg, then from there you take a 2nd bus which goes towards Flacq. The trip by bus will cost you under Rs100 for sure for a single person

By Taxi

A taxi from Airport to Ambre hotel should cost you around Rs500 or even more

by bus it will not cost you more than rs100 if you are alone and by taxi not more than rs1000.

Usually the hotel packages inculded transfer fees to and from the hotel. First check if it was not included. Negotiate a price with the taxi driver, do not just take the first price they quote. Rs 1 000 sounds about right.
