Can I get a train from Manchester Picadilly at night?

I'm hoping to go to a Mars Volta concert, doors open at 7pm, and was wondering whether trains run in Manchester at night? I'd need to go back to Gloucester or Cheltenham. I've tried nation rail enquiries and the other websites of that ilk, but none of them can give me any info this early in advance. So, anyone who lives in or around Manchester - what are the trains like? Or are there coaches from manchester Apollo?

To be honest, you'd be better of staying the night in Manchester. It's unlikely the concert will finish before 10pm. Most trains stop running between midnight and 1am. Given the distance between Manchester and Cheltenham/Gloucester, there will not be train that gets you home straight after the concert.

Confirm this by checking National Rail Enquiries for the current timetables - not sure when the concert is on but check the timetable for the next week. The timetable is unlikely to change that drastically between now and the concert.

trains do run. i'm not sure on the times. check Oxford Road train station or piccadilly train station at www.trainline.com

I can't imagine after a concert you wouldn't get back that far on the night.
