I think to a certain extent because there are certain qualities a father has that gives the feeling of comfort and protection. If a guy makes you feel the same way, most likely you will be attracted to that familiar feeling, or at least would be a factor in considering to get more serious with that person.

I would say to a point yes. It depends on if you had a good relationship with your Dad as well. My husband doesn't look or act like my dad but he has some qualities that my dad has.

i never know "that old man" in my life.!!..I know he was a very very bad man. he left my mother with 8 of us and ran away with another woman. he was a beast!. My mom is my idol. To me she is a supermom... she brought us up with her own 2 hands no complaints...never remarried and I love her dearly..

back to your Q....I would never married a man like that beast.
I am married now and he is totally opposite...he is a very good father and husband...

Certainly not. My dad has a bad temper and I somehow inherited that from him. :-P To fall for someone like that is a definite No No.

it depends on how your dad is :-

if hes the worlds best dad - then high chances are that u find someone who is similar to him

but if hes an *** - u would stay far far far away from anyone who looks like or behave like him
