What would you do or say to a dying person?

He/she is someone you love dearly.

I dont know how to handle serious stuff such as these, i would probably try to make this person laugh by telling jokes. If he/she is too ill to appreciate my jokes, i would hold him/her tight or lay next to this person hugging him/her like a baby (crying silently as i could) and recite yaasin til i fall asleep.

Hold the person's hand and say: I love you dearly..

DAMN, what do you say - I dont know - see you on the other side? I love you? Something of that nature

Whisper to He's/Her ear and tell her how much you love her.

For muslim we remind them to say 'syahadah'.

For the one you love: How dare you leave me alone here?! I'm coming with you...

You don't necessarily have to say anything. Just be there for them and love them and show them they won't be forgotten. Just being there right up until they pass is more important than ever saying anything. Your actions will reflect your love.

"Wait for me at the Golden Stairs just make sure you don't go the other way..." and maybe "I love you..." guess that's what I'd say to someone who's dying. That's all! :)

Be real. Be yourself. Be open to them, their thoughts, their grief, and their fear or acceptance, whichever is present in each moment. Just being "open" in each moment, as each moment presents itself, by resting quietly in peace with them. They will pass through their own feelings...it is good to be quietly available to them when you are with them. You do not need to "say" anything. Try to let go of any fear you may have before you go in to be with them....dying is a part of living. The more that you accept death as perfectly ok, the more easy and relaxed the dying person will feel in your company. The dying often feel guilty for leaving, and will try to hang on until their loved ones have given them (subconsciously or consciously) permission to leave. Love them. Let them be themselves. Accept them from moment to moment.

damn i cant imagine if this was happening to me, i'd probably be running away from reality and not face the person, really. but i dont know.
