Is it true that when u encounter ghost, u can ask them for 4D number?

I had encounter ghosts before however, I don't have a change to ask. Since I am freak out most of the time. Beside that I had failed to see why the ghost want to help me. If they want to cut a deal for us what do they ask for return. So, better don't encounter them.
