Do you think non-business-owned people will be able to retire?

Nowadays I see pensioners/retirees are still working, they said they have no choice but to keeep going- to make ends meet.

they dont have much option. daily life expenses is getting expensive. life is hard for poor people...that my view.
with the price going up every day, i dont think i can retire in future

don't think so
they say EPF money can last for only 3 years, if still got kids at school/college, more trouble. If got kids working, they also can't support since the money just enough for themslves and their kids. cost of living getting high. no choice, need to work and work

I will rather say some of them work for pleasure cos they know if they stop working, they got nothing else to do to pass time and they will 'age' and 'die' very soon.

For those who can't retire due to excessive expenditure, this is the effect of what they had done in the past ...

As long as one practices prudent expenditure and thrift, there shouldn't be any problem retiring, even if one is earning small salary.

Once a malaysian is born, if you buy a house and a car, you are forever in debt to the financial institution..unless you can print money.

No.
In Malaysia, if you don't work, nobody will help feed you.
Not even the government will give u a "tongkat", coz the "tongkat" has been reserved for other people.

That's right! When we work so hard for the money, all our savings goes to our children's expenditure. There's little else for ourself...

Unless if you're Government servant. Pension and free medical for life, loan subsidies... no wonder they all cannot wait to retire.

i don't know........

Yes, if proper financial planning is done instead of splurging it out all at once upon the first day of retirement.

Maybe they felt bored without working, wasting time sitting at home and not enough money to travel. That's why we need a good saving plan when we are able to work so that our lives will be better in the older days.
