Diwali is supposed to be the day which marks a new beginning, as a renewal of commitment to family values, and represents joy, love, reflection, resolution, forgiveness, light and knowledge.

Thank you very much... it is an equally important day for me, but I do not celebrate it elaborately as the Hindus in Malaysia do. I observe Loykratong, which is another form of festival similar in terms of origins to Diwali (which is also a Brahmanical occassion/celebration).

I knooow, last year's Deepavali.. my mom and dad like, tried to kill me!! I was soo scared, I thought I was a goner for sure.. :-( Dunno what they were calling it.. hmm.. I think it was called a 'hug'.. well, whatever it was, I was scared poopless!
