Why bring up this topic when we know we have no say in the govt's actions. All we do is complaint and make fun. I pay my taxes but do i have a say on how can the money be spent??

While I remain with my point of view, let's not laugh too loud. The government just signed a MoU with the Russian space agency Roscosmos and this means, some day... there will be real astronauts from Malaysia floating up there, laughing down at us.

I agree with No Money. Personally, too much of everything is not too good and for us, who knows what the truth is like... we will never get to change other people's point of view by force.

In all fairness, i don't think the traveler calls himself an astronaut. This name was called by the government and the local media so there is no need to laugh at that guy. He has done nothing wrong infact we should respect him for being fit enough to go to space. Let's face it, all of us want to go to space too if given a chance but just how many of us are really physically and mentally fit to do so. So give that guy some respect. We should laugh at the behind this program ( the government ) not at the guy

after 50 years of independent we still cannot catch up the world...most of the citizen still do not have the knowledge and do not understand how far the western country technology has grow....
i am sad not because we spend so much money and send a man to space... i am sad is because when the world is telling us that the man we send to space is not an astronaut but is just a so call space traveler and our 'minister' never go and think is that anything wrong with their program but they said that the american scared that MALAYSIA will take over their place in the space industry (if you ever have a sense of shame you will never said that kind of words...i do not know how many malaysian will believe his words)...it is not a bad thing that our country wanna develop a space program, just the attitude is not right. we should start from the basic..i dun understand why someone from the ministry will talk like that, someone who represent we MALAYSIAN...
Malaysia have the resource, but to be a advance country we need a good plan on how to use the resource...
We need minsters who willing to learn from mistake and with intelligent...not the minister who only know how to "cakap besar" !!
