My colleague has just bought a Dell lap top for rm 3000. I'm not sure what is the configurations.
It took about 2 weeks to reach from Penang once you placed an order through internet. It seems that they have service centres around major cities in Malaysia in case.
They all manufactured in locally in Penang now...it's quite reliable.

*Why is Abdul Hafiz answering Q without checking the fact?

Damm....good services you know why bcos have to pay 5000 for the pc.

I have only good words for Dell- bought a desktop and the tech support, service etc are par excellence and beyond my expectations. No regrets.

hey there. bought one 2 week ago. using it now to reply to you. very helpful ppl working with dell. 2 weeks delivery. so far everything is ok. they dl all the software so by the time it is delivered, it is ready to use. cost me abt rm2800++ for mainstream one. mine is pink in colour. main reason of purchasing this is bcos they'll come over the house if i need assistance. anything wrong, they'll fix or replace since it is within warranty. recommended by a friend who bought one. check out their website. i'm loving mine..;)

My friend bought it for RM4000 (The colourful model). Quite good quality, shipping in 2-3 weeks. She lives in Ipoh.

Myself bought from HP website. If you stay in KL and you bought HP online, you'll get it in 3-5 days. Ipoh will takes you 3 weeks working days.

I bought laptop 3 times from their website.
I paid around rm3k++ up to almost rm5k
All I can say I am very satisfied with its service as well as the support.
The website easily to navigate and they let you configure what spec that you want.
The costumer support all I can say is excellent.
You can pay either by credit card (the easiest way), tt, bla bla bla ( i forgot).
Plus you can track what is your order status by the number that you got after you finished place the order.
Usually you will receive your computer 3/4 days by courier service.

well my sisters did some lappys - long long time ago.

the products were good but they didnt get to use for long as both were stolen during a break-in. my family got another desktop which is good too. mmm what am i trying to say?

oh just mmm... if you do want to buy a lappy with good/latest specs and if you are from sabah, dells online is perhaps the fastest option :)

oh and dell is a well known brand for its good value... ;-)

Well it seems there are a lot of positive comments.
Well I've my fair shares of pros & cons. reviews on Dell.
Overall pls. DO NOT BUY VISTA.
As for others, they are mostly good. Because any bad reviews, you can make a complain & they get bad marks in their daily worksheets. You can also request for another help assistant IF the one serving you isn't honest, clear or rude.

Besides that if you purchase Desktop, you hv. to set up yourself. Only if it's malfunction or etc. will they come to set it up for you.

Same goes for HP computers services.

I bought my first laptop from Dell. Not through the website though. I called the toll free number. The service was excellent and so is after sales service if I have any problems be it technical or software. They only needed 3 working days to ship the laptop to my company.

After the laptop was stolen, a friend mentioned that Dell has a record of my laptop serial number so that if anyone calls up for service or spare parts, they can trace the person with the reported stolen unit. All I have to give them was a copy of my police report. Another excellent service (although I know it would never be recovered).

Since then, I have ordered a new desktop from Dell (again)and they took 3 working days only. Although I have to assemble it myself, I don't really mind compare with the fast and friendly service they give. I would recommend Dell to anyone who wants to buy computers be it desktops or notebooks.

I bought mine few days ago. Except for the long delivery (expected due to LCD monitor selection) all looks good. The price is the cheapest if you compare with the brands like Acer, HP or Fujitsu. Thumbs up! so far
