Which bank (Malaysia) offers the highest interest rate and benefits for opening a Fixed Deposits...?

Which bank (Malaysia) offers the highest interest rate and benefits for opening a Fixed Deposits Account of min. amount of RM10,000 & monthly deposit of RM500 - RM1,000?

All the banks or finance offer very little in return, however check out Public Banks foreign currency fixed deposits..they offer much higher return e.g. N. Zealand dollars at 9%, Australia 7% few more other countries which gives better return than Malaysian banks for a year.
However, one risk you have to face is the fluctuation of the currency which may varies...

I thk currently most banks offered almost the same rates and are very low and not worth to save if infation is taken into account. I will recommend you to save in capital guarentee trust fund where u r guarentee of the capital eventhough the investment don't give any return yet u still get back 1 to 1 what ever you invest. In case there is profit, the rates are still higher than FD. My friends work in finance sector many years told me honestly that FD is a very inhuman method to squeeze the customer money and yet you get very little return. Example, FD rate = 3.5, inflation = 3.0, so in return u actually get 3.5-3.0 = 0.5 %/yr.

normally the local banks that need cash adn smaller in size have a bit higher rate e.g. Alliacne bank.

low risk low gain.
high risk high gain.

FD is the safest way to reduce inflation. Assume that the your calculation is correct 3.5 - 3. you still get 0.5% as real return every year, GURANTEED.

Capital gurantee fund (min 5 years) --> if no gain after 5 years, your real loss will be nearly 6% (3% inflation + 3% admin/management/don't know what fee) every year. To catch up with FD, you gain must be at least 6%. There is NO GUARANTEE that you will win / lose and don't forget, your can't withdraw your fund before expiry without a severe penalty. The only ones who make money here is the fund manager, they are GUARANTEE to make by charging you all the fees regardless of the performance of the portfolio.

One question, if they are that good, they will put all their money in investment and become some investment tycoons like Mr. Warren Buffet. Why are they asking for just a fixed salary to make tonnes of money for you? Also, have you ever heard anyone making tonnes of money by investing in trust funds alone?

Try invest in mutual fund

based on current malaysian financial....most banks are quite similar in their interest rate....but do your own research....it is better....it your money any way
