In what location is the tallest operating hotel?

But it remains some way short of being the world's tallest building.

I believe its the ROSE Tower in Dubai, UAE. Saw a special on it on the discovery channel a few months ago.

Well it depends on the question. if you asked bout the tallest hotel in malaysia, it would be the Grand Season Hotel, at jalan Pahang. it's stated in the malaysia book of record. the tallest operating hotel would be Rose Tower in Dubai. it is 333m in height and has 72 floors.
